The Independent National Electoral Commission on Friday disclosed that about 54,327,747 (or 78.93 per cent) out of 68,833,476 Permanent Voters Cards ‎have been distributed so far.

The figure so far distributed has so far left a total of 14,505,729 PVCs to be distributed.

This is with less than 10 days to the March 8 deadline given by the commission for the exercise.

The Commission, in a statement by Kayode Idowu, the Chief Press Secretary to the INEC Chairman, Prof. Attahiru Jega, indicated that only 2,052,380 (3.01 per cent) have been distributed between February 17 and now.

The commission had on February 17 said 52,275,367 PVCs (about 75.94 per cent) were distributed.

The table shows that Akwa Ibom State has the highest number of PVCs collected so far at 1,587,566 or 94.46 per cent, followed by Bauchi State with1,938,192, PVCs or 94.36 per cent.

Ogun State is still the lowest figure of 808,590 PVCs collection or about 44.20 per cent. Zamfara State has 1,397,296 PVCs ‎(93.42 per cent), while Taraba State has 1,252,491 (93.42 per cent).
