A coalition of Northern Youth, under the auspices Northern Coalition Movement, and comprising the Northern Youth Interactive Forum (represented; the Youth Coalition and the Northern Youth Revival Movement, have condemned the alliance between Alhaji Asari Dokubo and Hamza al-Mustapha.

The condemnation followed political permutations perceived by observers which are aligned with President Jonathan’s 2015 second-term project.

Speaking at a press conference the Youth said, “we hereby condemn the so-called Al-Mustapha –Dokubo Kaduna conference under the auspices of the National United Alliance, and call on the northern youth to dissociate themselves from any act that is unprogressive to the region (sic!).”

They further called on al-Mustapha to stop calling himself a youth at the ripe age of 54 and said he was not in a position to speak on any youth of the Northern region. Al-Mustapha was further berated for organizing a rally in Owerri on behalf of Northern youth.

They said, “We are using this medium to call on our northern youths to be patriotic to the region in order not to be manipulated ahead of the 2015 general election by Goodluck Jonathan using Major al-Mustapha.”

“As we will move to disown Major al-Mustapha, we also advise him to (face) his court litigation and be more prayerful this time, as he may not enjoy the prayer of the Northern people, now that they have known his true colour.”
