The Chairman Senate Committee on Sports, Sen. Obinna Ogba, says Cameroon is not a threat to Nigeria as the Super Eagles prepare for the 2018 World Cup Qualifier.
Ogba told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Abuja that Cameroon would not stop Nigeria from 2018 World Cup.
NAN reports that Nigeria versus Cameroon match is slated for Aug. 28 in Abuja.
Ogba said that there was more to winning a match aside playing the game.
“Cameroon cannot be a threat to Nigeria, let us not deceive ourselves about football.
“We need somebody to play the politics of the game, while the players do the playing in the field of play.
“We have been lagging behind in terms of the politics of the game for a very long time and we need to do something about it if we must move on.”(NAN)
