21 Year Old Nigerian Footballer Dies Of Cardiac Arrest In Nepal

Austin Ndife, a Nigerian footballer, died on Monday in Nepal due to cardiac arrest.

The 21-year-old player had arrived in Nepal for trials and had not signed for any club before he died at the Shahid Gangalal National Heart Centre, Bansbari.

Ndife had a heart problem for two weeks and was admitted to Gangalal on Sunday.

Michael Ntife his close friend who plays for Saraswati Club, said Ndife arrived in Nepal a couple of months ago and had appeared in the trial for A Division outfits Three Star, Friends and Bauddha.

“We have requested ANFA to make arrangements for sending his body to his homeland,” said Michael Ntife.

Meanwhile African players in Nepal have also pleaded with ANFA to arrange a friendly match with Africa XI and a team from Nepal in memory of the late Ndife.
