Nigerians have responded to claims from the Minister of Transport, who claimed he was duped $39.2 million as sitting Governor of Rivers state.
In the video, obtained by The Herald, Amaechi in an interview recounted how he was duped by a Nigerian owned Candadian firm, Clinotech. He said it occurred because he was only human and had been learning on the job.
The financial scandal came to the fore following the Amaechi’s comment during an interview some weeks back where he said: “I have never taken bribe in my life but if they send a girl to you and you sleep with the girl and do that favour, that means you are corrupt.”
Nigerians however have trooped to their social media page to express their varying opinion on the matter especially as the state governor is engaged ini a verbal feud with his successor, Nyesom Wike.
