Dino Melaye: INEC’s Receipt of Recall Signatures Shows Stupidity of Yahya Bello

Senator Dino Melaye has mocked the Kogi State Government over the receipt of signatures for his recall by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

 

He called the attempt,  a “comedy of errors”, saying it shows the stupidity of the Kogi State Government.

 

According to Dino Melaye who is representing Kogi West, the attempt to recall him is masterminded by the Governor Yahya Bello of Kogi state, describing it as a comedy of errors.

 

He said that most names on the register are those of dead people, wondering what the governor, who had been accused of double registration by INEC, would want him back.

 

“It can not succeed. It is a hoax and absolute comedy of errors. I’m laughing at the stupidity of kogi state government,” Dino Melaye wrote on his social media page.

 

“Many appointees will go to jail for forgery. Even dead people’s names on the recall register. A governor who does not know what double registration is may not as well know the procedure for recall. Every lie has an expiry date.

 

“This comedy of errors will soon end. No shaking at all. This won’t solve the problem of not paying salaries for over 15 months. No retreat no surrender. Truth is my only Defence.”
