Alleged N13b Land Scam: Delta Comm. Insists EFCC Must Probe Tompolo

Okerenkoko, Gbaramatu Kingdom, a community in Warri South-West Local Government Area, Delta State have insisted that the Economic and Finance Crimes Commission, EFCC probe Chief Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo.

Tompolo had allegedly received N13 billion paid by Federal Government for the acquisition of the Maritime University land in the community.

The leaders of the community who spoke through Chief Micheal Johnny revealed that the community was paid only N360 million for the land.

They said Tompolo should be questioned about the balance of the money of over N12 billion.

The leaders also urged EFCC to probe the immediate former ministers of the ministries involved to explain their respective roles in the transaction.

They added that EFCC must urgently probe those involved so that the funds can be recovered.

Tompolo had admitted that the alleged N13 billion was approved by the Federal Executive Council, FEC and Bureau of Public Procurement, BPP and Federal Ministry of Lands and Survey.
