AMCON Disobeys Court Order, Refuses To Vacate Capital Oil Premises

The Chief Executive Officer of Capital Oil and Gas, Mr Ifeanyi Ubah, has complained yesterday what he called was a gross violation of a court order , requiring that the Asset Management Company of Nigeria (AMCON) leave his company premises.

In a statement via his spokesperson, Mr Nick Hayes, Ubah lamented AMCON’s selective obedience to court orders noting that, “It is paradoxical that the same AMCON, which did not waste time in taking over the premises and property of Capital Oil and Gas when it got an order to do so, is now foot-dragging as the same court had vacated the initial order.”

While Hayes noted that the court had vacated the early order to take over the premises, policemen deployed to the offices of the company were yet to obey the court order, regrettably.

He said that the policemen claimed ignorance of the court order, despite its being placed visibly on the gates of the premises. They said that until AMCON debriefed them on the matter and asked them to leave, they were going nowhere.
