A second nurse who came into contact with the Liberian American national, Thomas Duncan, has been diagnosed with the Ebola Virus Disease according to the Centre for Disease Control.
The nurse is a member of the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital team that treated the Liberian national who died from the virus a few days ago.
“Patient and employee safety is our greatest priority and we take compliance very seriously. We have numerous measures in place to provide a safe working environment, including mandatory annual training and a 24-7 hotline and other mechanisms that allow for anonymous reporting,” Texas Health Presbyterian said in a statement, before the news of the second patient emerged.
