In a bid to change Lionel Messi’s mind about quitting the National team, the Argentinian Government have gone on the charm offensive offering Messi a massive copper bribe in the form of a statue.
The Mayor of Buenos Aires, Horacio Rodriguez Larreta unveiled a Lionel Messi Statue as part of it’s ‘Don’t Leave’ campaign with the hopes of tempting Messi to change his mind.
The Barcelona forward had called time on his international career after another Argentina defeat at the hands of Chile.
Since then the Argentinian Government have been scrambling trying to change his mind including the President, Mauricio Machi who personally called Messi to try to get him to consider changing his mind.
