The club’s Media Officer, Ben Ogbemudia, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Benin on Monday that the club has already identified the 10 players.

“They will join the team as soon as the transfer formalities were concluded,’’ he said.

Ogbemudia added that the club would drop no fewer than 10 players from the 35 players it registered last season.

On preparations for the 2017/2018 season, he said no fewer than 22 players were already in camp ahead of this.

The media officer said the club was going to resume training on Monday in preparation for the upcoming 2017/2018 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.

“The training of these players will be supervised by one of the club’s backroom staff, Lucky Ikponwendie, pending the appointment of a new coach,’’ he said.

Ogbemudia said players who failed to return to camp on Monday have up to Tuesday to do so, and could face disciplinary action if they breached rules.

NAN reports that the club had at the end of the 2016/2017 season dispensed with the services of the Roland Ewere-led technical crew of the team.

The club had finished 10th in last season’s league with 40 points from 34 matches in the 18-team Southern Conference of the NNL.
