A scandal is presently brewing in the United Kingdom and it involves an eminent Professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Manchester, Nicholas Goddard.
According to The Sun, Prof Goddard, 61, has been starring in porn movies for the past decade with the moniker ‘Old Nick’, and has appeared with scores of women many of whom are 40 years younger than him.
Goddard, an Oxford University-educated scholar, has been teaching at University of Manchester for 25 years.
Many of his students at the school are young ladies within the age bracket of the women he stars with in the movies.
When interviewed by The Sun, Goddard said he delved into porn to “relieve the stress of a divorce”.
In his 35-year academic career, he has published many significant papers and is the lead tutor on three courses, The Telegraph reports.
Speaking to The Sun about the ‘hypocrisy’ of his critics, Goddard said: “There is such hypocrisy with people watching porn then complaining about those who act in it.
“Why would students and staff be happy to watch it, but unhappy when they see who stars in them?
“Especially as I know that on evenings and weekends, 75 per cent of web traffic on the university’s server is accessing porn.
“I don’t get paid much, mainly travel expenses.
“Sometimes you do things that you regret later while under stress. But I’ve given it up since January, it’s too much for me now.
“What I do in my private life is my business not the university’s. I haven’t told anyone there.
“I don’t know what students or their parents would think but I for one certainly wouldn’t care if my children were being taught by a porn star.”
However, he said his family is unaware of his second job.
