Boko Haram War: Air Force acquires latest fighter jets

1 Min Read

The Nigerian Air Force has reportedly acquired no less than 12 ultra modern Fighter Jets to tackle the Boko Haram insurgency in the North East.

The jets are said to be ready to be deployed in a final onslaught against the dreaded Islamic sect as they are capable of night operations, a capability the Air Force did not previously enjoy.

The Armed Forces are said to also be preparing to take new deliveries of Shika guns and other weapons.

Sources say the insurgents would soon be dislodged from Gwoza and other areas being held by the terrorists as more troops are to be deployed to those areas.
