Brexit: David Cameron Resigns As Britain Opts Out Of EU

The UK Prime Minister, David Cameron credited to have referred to Nigeria as a “fantastically corrupt” country some weeks ago has resigned from office following the vote by Britain to exit the European Union, EU.

The decision by Britain to exit the EU makes Britain the first country to opt out of the Union in its 60 years history.

With result of the poll collated and the “Leave” campaign gaining a 52 percent upward vote, and 42 percent for “Remain”, Britain officially bows out of the EU.

Following the collation of the result, Mr Cameron addressed the nation in an emotional speech in which he announced his resignation as the Prime Minister.
