The Nigerian president, Muhammaadu Buhari, has maintained that the place of his wife, the first lady, Aisha Buhari is in the kitchen and to take care of him.
Recall that the president had first issued this statement while he was in Germany after the first lady, Aisha Buhari granted an explosive interview to the BBC Hausa Service in which she criticized the Buhari-led administration.
President Muhammadu Buhari in Germany had said his wife belonged to his kitchen, living room and the other room.
However, Phil Gayle while interviewing the president requested that he clarify his stand on the issue which has sprouted several reactions and controversy.
In response, Buhari said: “I am sure you have a house. You know where your kitchen is.
He continued: “You know where your living room is. And I believe your wife looks after all that even if she’s working.”
