A former member of the house of representatives, Patrick Obahiagbon, has stated that he believes that President Buhari and his government deserve a second chance in 2019.
The prominent grammarian made this known on Friday while appearing as a guest on Channels Television’s ‘Politics Today’. He rated President Buhari high and felt that the criticism meted out on him by former President Olusegun Obasanjo was harsh. While he disagreed on many of the points made by Obasanjo, he did agree that there were many promises made by the APC government are yet to be fulfilled.
“It is certainly not Eureka yet. But, the truth of the matter is that, given where we are coming from, this government has tried. We were in the cause of economic comatose and from the quagmire of recession, the government of President Muhammadu Buhari has been able to remove the economy from the jugulars of recession and has breathed vital life into Nigeria’s economy.” he said
