Chris Brown has opened up about his infamous assault on his girlfriend Rihanna saying it is the ‘deepest regret’ of his life.

In a recent interview with The Mirror, the singer admitted that the attack on RiRi was a ‘mistake’ but she has finally ‘forgiven’ him and the couple have moved on.

‘That night was the deepest regret of my life, the biggest mistake,’ said the R&B star, after he assaulted her four years ago.

‘But she loves me – what can I say? I’m forgiven… but, yes, I worked hard for it,’ he added, suggesting that the couple had put the incident behind them even if other people hadn’t.

‘Sometimes you row, you fight, with the one you love and things get said, stuff spirals,’ he added to The Mirror.

The Turn Up The Music star has desperately been trying to re-vamp his image since the 2009 attack which left Rihanna bruised and battered after the pair had an argument.

Meanwhile, sources say the couple are planning a wild and crazy summer wedding.
