Singer and dancer Ciara has filed a lawsuit against her baby’s father, rapper Future reportedly seeking $15 million for defamation.
At one time, Future and Ciara were engaged. She has a son from him, Future Zahir after which they separated.
The suit comes after Future publicly criticized her parenting skills and her relationship with Russell Wilson, the quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks.
One particular incident cited in the lawsuit is an interview on radio station Power 105 in New York City. Future accused the football player and his baby mama of using the child for publicity.
He said on the air, “Leave my son out of all publicity stunts.” He was reportedly upset when a photo hit the Internet of Wilson pushing the baby in a stroller.
He also allegedly attacked Ciara on social media. A recent Tweet ranted against her.
“This b**** got control problems… I gotta go through lawyers to see baby Future… the f**kery for 15K a month. I jus want baby Future that’s all.”
He added, “I been silent for a year and a half… I ran outta patience.”
TMZ claims it saw a process server serve Future with papers at Los Angeles International Airport.
According to the lawsuit, Ciara says Future made the comments he did with malice and she wants him to be ordered to stop speaking on family matters in public.
