Ilorin, March 26, 2017 (NAN) Pastor Kunle Olusegun of Glorious Mission Assembly, Ilorin, has advised couples against exposing their private affairs on social network to avoid external influence and damage to their marriages.

Olusegun gave the advice on Sunday in Ilorin during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), saying that social media had done more harm to marriages than good.

He expressed dismay that most couples derived pleasure in posting every activity that happened indoors on their profile page, adding that this did not augur well for the home.

According to him, such exposure is a major cause of breakup of marriages paving way for the third party influence from social network users.

“Facebook, twitter, instagram, snapchat and whatsapp have become avenues whereby most couples share their private issues with their friends and followers.

“What couples fail to understand is that, social network is a ‘ modern day third party’ whereby the public pass several types of opinions and ideas which in many cases cause confusion in marriages.

“Exposing your marital affairs to the public is like inviting crisis into your home as bad and good advice will come in,” he said.

The cleric also advised couples to learn how to resolve marital issues within themselves and not make social network their marriage counselor. (NAN)
