The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgar, has invited actress Caroline Danjuma and Singer Davido for questioning regarding the death of Tagbo Umeike who allegedly died in the company of Davido and his crew after a drinking spree.

Recall that it all started when Caroline Danjuma called out Davido over the death of her friend Tagbo. According to Danjuma, Tagbo died after a night out with Davido and his team, and they dumped his corpse at a hospital and fled the scene. But an eyewitness would later assert that the deceased was not in same car with Davido when he died.

In response, Davido denied knowledge of when Tagbo died, insisting that he had taken the deceased as family.

Now, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police has waded into the matter.
According to reports, the commissioner invited Davido and Caroline Danjuma Wednesday night for a closed-door meeting where the singer provided footage from Shisha Room (a lounge in Lekki), confirming that he did party with Tagbo Umeike, but left the venue long before him, before the tragedy happened.

It is unclear the direction the investigation is going as the police is yet to make an official statement.

However, Caroline Danjuma’s reportedly said:

“I don’t have anything to share with you because I’m not the only one in this picture, there are family members involved, so I can’t just start sharing things with you without the approval of the family members, if there’s an approval, I’ll let you know.”
