Controversial businessman Jimoh Ibrahim quizzed over N4.8 billion tax liability

The travails of controversial businessman Jimoh Ibrahim have taken a turn for the worse as he has been arrested by a Special Enforcement Unit of the Federal Inland Revenue Service after being implicated in a N4.8 billion tax evasion fraud.

Ibrahim was reportedly apprehended in his luxury suite at the NICON hotel Abuja, and is in the custody of the FIRS who are determined to make him reveal the details of the scam.

Mr. Ibrahim is seen as a turn around specialist whose acquired businesses usually see a downward spiral in fortunes. He is blamed for the failure of AIR Nigeria and other business concerns.

  • This man must be brought to justice, proper investigation and diligent prosecution must be followed to ensure acquital or conviction which ever is applicable. No sacred cows, it should also be applicable to all businesses across the land.
