The leader of a cultist group called the Ekpeye Liberation Front, General Igbudu and five of his commanders who were killed in a gun battle with security operatives at Ahoada, Orashi region in Rivers state on Saturday night.
Online reports indicate that the leader of the gang, General Igbudu and his colleagues had terrorized towns in the Ekpeye kingdom.,
They were responsible for numerous crimes including: killing ,maiming , robbing, raping kidnapping and so on.
They were finally finished for good in Odiemirenyi village were they were said to have launched a robbery attack on a group of people attached to a multinational oil firm who were carrying out repair works on a damaged oil pipeline.
They were killed by the security operatives therefore bringing an end to their reign of terror within the community.
