Dangote climbs Forbes ranking, now 23rd richest man in the World

Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Chairman of the Dangote Group has been named the 23rd richest man in the World by Forbes magazine. His networth was placed at $25 billion as of March 2014.

According to Bloomberg Billionaire Index, the cement, sugar and power magnate made $791 million in the last 24 hours.

Other Nigerians on the list include Mike Adenuga who came in at #325 with a networth of $4.6 billion, Folorunsho Alakija, owner of Famfa Oil who came in at #687 with a networth of $2.5 billion, and Abdulsamad Rabiu who came in at #1372 with a networth of $1.2 billion.

Dangote continues to climb the ranking, he was #43 in last year’s ranking.

Chairman of Microsoft, Bill Gates is the richest man in the world with a networth of $76 billion, he made over $9 billion in 2013.
