Monkey Pox: Deadly Virus spreads to Enugu and Ekiti State

The Viral epidemic, Monkeypox has found its way to Enugu state, where the first case has been recorded in the state. The affected individual is currently undergoing treatment in UNTH.

Ekiti State Government has also confirmed two suspected monkeypox cases in the state.

The Secretary to the State Government, Dr Modupe Alade said “We have two cases at Okemesi Ekiti. Tests are still being carried out and not until it is confirmed, we can’t come out with any official statement.”

Two cases of the viral disease were also recently recorded in Lagos state.

Nigerian Blogger, Amanda Chisom shared a Facebook photo a female victim confirmed in Enugu state.
