EFCC operatives on Wednesday arrested the former Secretary to Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal.
This comes according to news outlet Channels television.
Lawal was recently under scrutiny after he was sacked from his position and replaced by Boss Mustapha. He had earlier been indicted by a presidential panel that investigated misuse of funds meant for people displaced by Boko Haram.
This comes a mere day after former President Obasanjo had in a scathing note to President Buhari told him not to run for the 2019 presidential elections. In the letter, Obasanjo also accused Buhari of condoning corruption where persons close to him are involved.
