The  Economic And Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)  is currently conducting investigations regarding the claims of a snake who allegedly slithered into the JAMB office in Makurdi, Benue State and swallowed N36,000,000 as narrated by  Philomena  Chileshe.

Philomena, a sales clerk with the Board was suspended on February 11 by her employers.

The money whose paper trail is being traced was proceeds generated from sales of JAMB scratch cards in its various state offices nationwide as well as accredited centres.

It was gathered that a team of external auditors have been mandated to ascertain the number of cards estimated to have been sold as well as the amount yet to be sold.  The team was brought in to recover the missing funds.

The lady who was suspended told the auditors she was unable to account for the money amassed over several years before the use of scratch cards was scrapped
