Information just filtering in says that former Governor of Benue State, Gabriel Suswan has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
According to spokesperson of EFCC, Wilson Uwajuren, Suswan was picked up as part of ongoing corruption investigations in Benue state.
“He was invited by the EFCC in connection with ongoing corruption investigation in Benue state,” he said.
He is reportedly being questioned by the EFCC over allegations of graft during his tenure as governor of the state.
Suswan was governor of Benue from 2007 to 2015, having taken over the helms of the state from George Akume.
