EFCC Recovers Fake $570,000 From Fraudsters In Kaduna

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has conducted yet another successful raid leading to the arrest of five notorious fraudsters.

The fraudsters comprising four Nigerians and one Nigerien man were reported to be specialists in duping innocent persons who fell into their traps.

The arrested suspects, Salisu Rabiu, Ibrahim Idris, Haruna Abdullahi, Abubakar Umar and the Nigerien man, Magaji Musa were reported to have been arrested in a bush along Sabon Gari, Kurmin Kogi, Ikara Local Government Area of Kaduna state.

The anti-graft agency noted that the five man gang was busted after they approached an unsuspecting victim, attempting to lure him into believing there were some unclaimed boxes containing dollars kept with some herdsmen who are suspected to be accomplices in the plan.

The would-be victim however contacted the anti-graft agency leading to the arrest of the gang and recovery of the sum of five hundred and seventy thousand fake US dollars.

The anti-graft agency is currently investigating the arrested suspects.
