Economic Recession: Eleganza Boss, Okoya Advises FG

Alhaji Abdulrasaq Okoya, Chairman of Eleganza Group has appealed to the Federal Government to build more technical institutions to reduce dependence on white collar jobs.

Okoya made this appeal at the 2016 Ileya Dance held at the Island Club, Lagos.

He said: “We have a lot of universities already, which is a good thing, but we need more technical institutions because this is where the practicality of things are taught. When a person is equipped with the technical know-how of a profession, that person can confidently start up his or her own business”

He further noted that establishment of technical institutions by the Federal Government will encourage home-grown businesses and help tackle current recession.
