According to the Net.ng, pop duo Psquare may lose their endorsement deal with communications company Glo as a result of the messy family feud they are currently embroiled in.

See their report below:

“Multiple sources have told Nigerian Entertainment Today that, contrary to widespread speculation that telecoms company Globacom has fired pop brand Psquare, the bestselling musicians remain ambassadors for the company.

There have been unconfirmed reports that the Okoye trio (Paul, Peter and Jude) may have secured the wrath of the Mike Adenuga-led company following messy public fights that did little to enhance their image.

One source tells us it is unlikely Glo will sponsor another editor of Peter’s Dance show.Peter insulted Glo officials at the grand finale of his competition and they all walked out of the venue before the event started. Most people don’t know, but Psquare were supposed to perform at the GLO CAF awards but they were dropped from the show’.

Psquare are not known to be unprofessional in their business dealings. But it is not the first time Glo, a top three GSM provider in Nigeria will part ways controversially with brand ambassadors. D’Banj, who was dropped and later recalled following the chairman’s intervention, and Kunle Afolayan remain fresh in our minds.

A spokesperson for Glo could not be reached for comments. And Glo’s Bode Opeseitan did not respond to our calls or SMS.

Psquare’s publicist, Bayo Adetu expressed shock when THENETNG contacted him to find out if his principals had been dropped by Glo: ‘wow, am just hearing the news from you o!’ ‘For now, there’s nothing to say because I’m not even aware’.

Psquare were first signed as GLO ambassadors in 2010 in a deal reportedly worth N240M. In October 2015, the brothers were the only brand ambassadors presented with brand new 2015 Range Rover and a 2015 Mercedes Benz G-Wagon courtesy of GLO.

While Paul was gifted with a 2015 Range Rover, his other half Peter received a 2015 Mercedes Benz G-Wagon.

Pundits say it’s only a matter of time before Globacom executives make up their mind and walk out of a relationship that holds no positive promise. Those close to the Okoyes however insist ‘they’re sorting out their issues and learning to keep family matters off social media.”
