Former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has attacked the Federal Government over suspected abduction of 94 girls from Government Girls Science and Technology College, Dapchi, Yobe State on Tuesday.

Some of the girls were believed to have been abducted when Boko Haram insurgents attacked the school, with many of them scampering into nearby bushes and apartment quarters for safety.

While conflicting reports have emerged on the kidnap, the Yobe State Governor, Ibrahim Gaidam confirmed the abduction of some girls but failed to give details, including the number of girls involved.

In a statement through his Director of Press at the Government House, Abdullahi Bego, the governor expressed gratitude to the military for the rescue of some of the girls.

However, Fani-Kayode blamed the Federal Government for initially denying the abduction of the girls.

He equally accused the government of lying about the reported rescue of the girls by the military.

He said, “First you deny that 94 girls were abducted by Boko Haram from their school in Yobe. Ur were exposed and forced to admit that u were LYING. Now u say that the girls have been rescued by the military which is ANOTHER FAT LIE! Buhari STOP the lies and FIND the girls!”
