Fatima Dangote To Tie The knot

Fatima, one of the daughters of Africa’s richest men, Aliko Dangote, has indeed come of age as she is set for the wedding with Jamil, the son of former Inspector General of Police, M.D Abubakar, in March.

 

The mega event is billed for Eko Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

 

Fatima joined the Dangote Group in 2014 as the Special Assistant to the Managing Director –Cement, and later worked as a Group Corporate Strategy Specialist. In this latter role, she provided planning and analytical support across all the business units of the Dangote Group.

 

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Surrey in the UK. Fatima has been called to the Nigerian Bar and has worked as an associate at Banwo and Ighodalo Legal Chambers on areas related to capital markets, intellectual property, and energy, while Jamil is a Kingston University-trained Computing Information Systems and Multimedia graduate and a pilot with Elite Airwings.

 

An Update of the wedding.

The spectacular wedding was attended by those who matter around the world including Bill Gates, entrepreneur and second richest man in the world; Akufo Addo, Ghanaian president; and Mo Ibrahim, Sudanese-British billionaire businessman.

 

President Muhammadu Buhari; Bukola Saraki, former senate president; Yakubu Dogara, former speaker of the house of representatives, led top politicians to the wedding event.

 

Rilwan Akiolu, oba of Lagos; Adeyeye Ogunwunsi, ooni of Ife, were among the prominent traditional rulers at the occasion.

There were also a plethora of renowned celebrities and entrepreneurs, internationals, relatives, and friends of both families in attendance.
