Football Club Sacks Player After Testing Positive To HIV

A Cameroonian player has been sacked by his football club four days after he signed on for the team.

The Cameroonian player, Samuel Nlend, was sacked by his new team’s management for testing positive to HIV.

The 21-year-old former USD Union Douala player who last week signed a contract with the Egyptian Premier League side, Ittihad of Alexandria has since been thrown out of the team following the results of his medicals.

Recall that the 21-year-old who turned down an offer from Cairo giants, Al Ahly, had after his signing to the Ittihad of Alexandria said: “I preferred joining Ittihad after I knew the big effort the club has done in order to reinforce the team with great players.”
