Gov. Bindow inaugurates TETFUND projects

Gov. Muhammadu Bindow of Adamawa on Monday inaugurated some intervention projects funded by TETFUND in the state-owned polytechnic in Yola.

Speaking at the inauguration in Yola , Bindow commended the Federal Government over the intervention projects said to be worth over one billion naira.

The governor said that TETFUND’s intervention initiatives would assist in improving the education sector in the country.

 

 

“Let me appreciate the Federal Government’s intervention support to higher institutions though TETFUND in promoting the standard of education in the country.

“I would also put it categorically that in the next one week, the four months teachers’ outstanding salary allowances is going to be paid,” Bindow said.

He said the welfare of civil servants was a top priority of the administration.

The governor also said 123 blocks of class rooms would be constructed in 20 local government areas of the state to make learning conducive.

 

 

The Rector of the polytechnic, Prof. Umar Bobboi, said 78 lecturers in the institution benefitted from the institution’s academic staff training programme. (NAN)
