Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano today made history by swearing in Nigeria’s youngest commissioner, Mark Okoye II.

Okoye was sworn in as the Honourable Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget Development at the Executive Council Chamber of Anambra State today, 26th June, 2016 in presence of the Anambra state Governor, his wife, Phillipa Okoye and some other top officials.

The 30-year-old Mark Okoye’s swearing in confirms him as the youngest commissioner in the nation at present.

Mark who is a graduate of the prestigious George Washington University, Washington, DC, USA holds a B.Sc Degree in Finance. He is also an alumnus of several executive education courses and programs including Harvard Kennedy School, Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA, Euromoney, Dubai, UAE.

Before his appointment and confirmation as a commissioner, Mark held the post of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Economic Planning and budget.
