Government makes plans to relocate all motor parks

The Sokoto State Government says it plans to relocate all inter-state buses motor parks to the Sokoto Central Motor Park.

Alhaji Abdullahi Bafarawa, the Director-General of the Central Market, disclosed this on Tuesday in Sokoto, at a meeting with the operators of inter-state buses
motor parks, located in Sokoto city and its environs.

The director-general assured that adequate arrangements had been made at the Central Motor Park to ensure successful relocation.

He said:” The meeting was convened to intimate the operators of the
plan to relocate these motor parks dotting parts of the city and its
environs.

 

 

” This is with the view to centralise the motor parks, to make coordination of activities easy.

 

” This is aimed at keeping vigil on their activities, as well as bolster the security of lives and property.”

Bafarawa also said that the relocation would greatly enhance internally generated revenue.

Responding on behalf of his colleagues, Mr Bayo Ayodele, the Manager
of Cross Country Transport Company, commended the state government for the planned relocation.

 

 

” We will render any necessary support and cooperation to ensure its
success,” Ayodele assured.( NAN)
