Herdsmen Kill 10 Farmers In Kogi

Gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen went on an orgy of violence in Ogabifo village in Omala Local government area of Kogi State over the weekend.

According to The Nation, The gunmen numbering about five and armed with AK-47 rifles killed at least 10 residents and set farmlands ablaze in the agrarian community.

It was reported that the herdsmen invaded the farmlands with their cattle to graze but the farmers challenged them over destruction of their farm by the animals.

This was said to have angered the herdsmen who chased the farmers to their village, killing ten of them and injuring many more.

The herdsmen were said to have returned to the farms and set them ablaze.
