A newlywed couple’s marriage has reportedly hit the rocks few days after their journey started.
According to reports, a 34-year-old husband dumped his newlywed wife days after marriage after seeing her no make-up face for the first time.
According to the 28-year-old bride who was dumped, her husband accused her of deceiving him as she does not look as beautiful as she portrayed leading up to the wedding ceremony.
Speaking on the case, the bride’s psychologist, Dr Abdul Aziz Asaf said the 28-year-old bride whose name was withheld hoped to tell her husband the truth about her cosmetic use but was too late to do so as the groom had taken her to the Al Mamzar Beach for a leisurely swim.
Following the swim, the groom said he could not recognize his wife after her make-up had been wiped off by the swim.
Gulf News reported that the husband accused the bride of wearing artificial eyelashes amongst other deceitful cosmetics.
Dr. Asaf said: “The groom immediately divorced his bride and refused any attempt to reunite them again.”
