198 Nigerians (illegal immigrants) returned home from Saudi Arabia on Saturday, July 22, 2017 with the help of the Federal Government.

The Nigerian Government reportedly sponsored their journey back to Kano this weekend.

The Saudi Arabian government had earlier offered illegal immigrants a 90-day amnesty period for them to return back to their countries or face stiffer punishments such as jail terms, fines and deportation.

The amnesty period expired on June 25 but the illegal immigrants were granted a 30-day extension.
