Alex Iwobi, Arsenal forward and Nigerian superstar is set to be given a bumper raise with Arsenal. The forward signed a new contract less than 6 months ago but has been in scintillating form this season which has urged Arsene Wenger to offer the teenager a bumper pay rise.

Iwobi currently on less than £1000 a week is set to be rewarded with a £10,000 a week deal which represents over 1000% rise from his current deal.

The 19-year-old Iwobi signed his first professional deal in May 2014 with a £850-a-week salary.

Iwobi was given the nod to feature in a crucial match against Barcelona during the UEFA Champions League round of 16 second leg and he held his own despite the Gunners eventually crashing out.

However, it was a different story against Everton as the Nigerian youngster was handed his first premier league start and he capped his all-round immaculate display with a killer second goal that helped Arsenal win the game 2-0 and while they are unlikely to win the League, they aren’t completely out of it yet.

He was an ever present in the Gunner’s FA cup run with some impressive display and already the English FA have tried to get him to play for the Three Lions after playing for them at youth level.

He is a Super Eagles material though and is already in camp for the clash against Egypt.
