American rapper and father of three, JAY Z has finally opened up on the cause of the elevator fight between himself and his wife’s sister, Solange some years ago.

Recall that a video leaked some months ago in which the rapper was seen in an elevator with his wife and her sister but instead of a cordial family re-union, Solange aimed at Jay Z and continuously attacked him till he could get out of the elevator.

Speaking following the release of his latest album, 4:44, the rapper who had been speculated to have named the album after the infamous incident said in a podcast with Rap Radar that the 2014 incident was due to a disagreement.

He said during the interview: “I fought my brothers and argued with my brothers my whole life. It just so happens, who we are, these things go into a different space, but it ain’t nothing.”

He added: “We had one disagreement ever. Before and after we’ve been cool. She’s like my sister. I will protect her. That’s my sister, not my sister-in-law, my sister.”

Jay Z had however addressed the prime of what several people had thought to be the cause of the 2014 elevator fight in his track titled “Kill Jay Z”, Infidelity.

He added on: “You egged Solange on/Knowin’ all along, all you had to say you was wrong/you almost went Eric Benet/Let the baddest girl in the world get away.”
