Jimoh Ibrahim’s Security allegedly Shoots at Eyitayo Jegede’s Campaign Office, Many Reportedly Injured

Reports emanating from Akure, Ondo State have alleged that thugs and police detail on convoy of Jimoh Ibrahim who belongs to the Modu Sheriff’s faction opened fire on them at the Eyitayo’s campaign office in Akure, the state’s capital.

The party Governorship ticket tussle between the candidates of the Ali Modu Sheriff and the Ahmed Makarfi faction has taken a dangerous dimension as reports reach us that Jimoh Ibrahim’s security detail have attacked the campaign office of Jegede, who belongs to the Makarfi faction.

According to the Vanguard Newspaper, a PDP chieftain, Mr Kunle Ijalana, who was an eyewitness told journalists that,

“Jimoh Ibrahim and his over 30 vehicles’ convoy stopped at the campaign office, shooting sporadically direct at the building, while occupants and passers-by scamper for safety in a shooting that lasted for over 10minutes.”

While briefing newsmen in the state shortly after the incidence, the PDP chieftain said although the number of those who sustained various degrees of injuries could not be immediately ascertained since everybody scampered to safety during the shootout, he said, however, that over 10 persons had been seen with injuries.
