Jonathan Lost Because…- Tukur

Former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur has revealed the reason Dr Goodluck Jonathan lost the March 28 presidential election, even though he was the incumbent.

According to Tukur who spoke to newsmen, Jonathan lost because he was sabotaged by those he considered his friends.

He also gave reasons why five governors of the PDP walked out on him and President Jonathan in the special national convention of the party that held in August 2013.

He disparaged claims that he turned the then Governor of Adamawa state, Muritala Nyako away from the event, stating that the governor wanted to enter the venue with the factional chairman of the party which the party’s top echelon took an aversion to.

Tukur said the governors walked out in solidarity with Nyako, who decided to stay away, because they did not believe in the principle of “internal democracy” that he advocated as the chairman of the party.
