Nigerian footballer, Kelechi Iheanacho, 20, might be facing a two year jail sentence in the United States after he was accused of misleading a court sitting in Pennsylvanian.

The 20-year-old Leicester City FC star who was earlier dragged to court by his previous representative, an American-based company, First Eleven Management, whom he dumped after two years to sign with Stellar said in court that he did not know or spend time with Henry Galeano who claimed to be his former agent.

Iheanacho had in his claim stated that he thought Galeano was an alias used by First Eleven Management co-owner Robert Zanicky.

The footballer has however been found to be culpable as the court has been presented with photos and documents suggesting that the Nigerian striker met Galeano on many occasions.

The SUN UK reported that Iheanacho is now faced with a crucial legal question as to his relationship with Galeano.

The photographs which were submitted to the court are shown below as obtained by SunSport

  1. In Minneapolis during Manchester City’s 2014 pre-season tour.

  1. In Columbus, while training with MLS club Columbus Crew that same year.

  1. In New Zealand in 2015 while representing Nigeria at the Under-20 World Cup.

  1. At the Etihad Stadium while signing a new contract with Manchester City after he turned 18.

Galeano had in his court affidavit said: “For the avoidance of doubt, Iheanacho and I have spent hundreds of hours together,” adding that: “Robert Zanicky never used my name as an alias.”
