Mrs. Emefiele’s Kidnappers demands N1.5 billion ransom

The kidnappers of the wife of the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Mrs. Margaret Emefiele are demanding for N1.5 billion ransom for her release.

According to SaharaReporters a source with an “intimate understanding of the delicate situation” avail them with information about the latest development.

As reported earlier on this platform, Mrs. Emefiele was kidnapped yesterday in Benin along the Benin-Agbor Road and her kidnappers have been in communication with Mr. Emefiele the report said.

SaharaReporters also disclosed that four other people were abducted including two other females, a male, and her driver besides Mrs Emefiele.

It said that the four police officers attached to Mrs Emefiele ran for their lives as the criminals’ ammunition was superior to their own thereby leaving the victim behind and four others when confronted by the kidnappers.

Since her abduction, the kidnappers have been in constant communication with Mr. Emefiele, his representatives, and police negotiators. They are
reportedly discussing the N1.5 billion ransom demand, the report said.
