On Wednesday, 9th of November, a young lady’s throat was slit by her boyfriend in Adamawa state polytechnic, Yola main campus.
The young lady, according to witnesses, was said to be in a relationship with the man before they had an argument which led to the sad incident.
According to an eyewitness, the victim had ignored several calls from her lover which infuriated him.
When he went over to find out why she had refused to pick the calls, she was said to have replied him rudely, which further enraged her lover.
Few minutes after the confrontation, witnesses say the lady was seen alighting from a man’s car with lots of gifts.
Upon sighting her, the enraged lover attacked her verbally which led to a heated argument after which he pulled out a knife and slit her throat.
The young lady then screamed in pain and this attracted people to the area.
Her boyfriend then ran to the gate, threatening to stab the security man if he doesn’t grant him access to leave the vicinity.
Witnesses say that the lady was rushed to the hospital where she is currently battling to stay alive.
