Nigeria’s Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed has received the news of Nollywood actress, Moji Olaiya with shock as he described the actress’ death as a big loss.
Lai Mohammed who issued the statement in Beijing, China Thursday noted that the loss of the actress is a huge one especially to her family, the movie industry and indeed all her friends and admirers.
The Information minister noted that he received the news of the actress’ untimely death with rude shock and disbelief stating that the actress contributed immensely to the growth of the burgeoning Nollywood, and her contributions will forever be remembered.
Recall that news of the actress’ demise broke some days ago as she was reported to have died in a Canada hospital due to childbirth complications.
The actress’ burial committee spokesperson, Yomi Fabiyi further revealed yesterday in a statement released that a death certificate has been issued following the conduct of an autopsy and the body of the late actress has since been released for repatriation.
Alhaji Lai Mohammade however prayed for the repose of the deceased’s soul, and for strength and comfort to her family and friends.
