A former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Olisa Metuh is according to his lawyers currently hospitalized at the National Hospital in Abuja.
According to his lawyer, Mr. Onyechi Ikpeazu (SAN) who revealed this at his haring today, Mr Metuh was rushed to the hospital after he collapsed on Sunday during church service.
The lawyer before the Federal High Court in Abuja presided over by Justice Okon Abang cited Metuh’s hospitalization as the reason for his absence in court.
Metuh’s lawyer told the court: “The first defendant is absent because he is sick. He was rushed to the National Hospital in Abuja on Sunday after he collapsed while trying to stand up from his seat to sing in his church.”
Recall that Olisa Metuh is along with his company, Destra Investment Limited being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC for an alleged N400 million and a separate $2million scandal.
