Former Information Minister, Labaran Maku’s Campaign Organisation has denied reports that Maku was planning to defect from Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to All Progressives Congress, APC.
The organisation in a statement by the Director of Legal Services and Publicity, Mr. Yusuf Edego said “the fictitious and childish publication was motivated by the desperation of Mr. Labaran Maku’s opponents in PDP and APC to impugn on the integrity of Mr. Maku, one of the most loyal and consistent leaders of PDP since 1999.”
The organisation also said the publication was aimed at casting aspersions on Mr. Maku’s loyalty to the president and Federal Government.
Labaran Maku is the Former Minister of Information; he resigned last month to pursue his gubernatorial ambition in his native Nassarawa state.
