Man Finds Gold Worth N1.16billion In Deceased Relative’s Home

A man has been reported to have stumbled upon a huge loot in a deceased family member’s home.

The French man who inherited the house found in it a stash of Gold worth $3.7 million (N1,166,425,000).

The new owner of the house found the bounty while he was moving furniture around the house.

Upon finding the first set of gold in a box of coins attached to the underside of a piece of furniture, the new home owner began a renewed search for the entire bounty which later yielded him good news.

A local auctioneer said: “It was under the furniture, under piles of linen, in the bathroom … everywhere.”

He added that the gold stash was well hidden by the previous owners of the property.

“It was extremely well hidden.”

The total gold stash found weighed a massive 220 pounds with 5,000 gold pieces, two 26-pound bars and 37 smaller bars weighing two-pounds each.

Experts, upon examining the gold bars found in the home, revealed that the precious metal dates back to the 1950s and 1960s.
